Marseille will be the European Capital of Culture in 2013. Since its appointment, the Marseille-Provence 2013 association has been trying to implement a project that is receiving little support from the people of Marseilles so far.
A team is busy putting this gigantic project in motion. Led by charismatic Bernard Latarjet, former director of La Villette, they cross swords with and often get stung by the expectations of politicians, cultural operators, companies and artists.
